Lisa is an Aquatic Biologist specializing in fish and fish habitat assessment, and environmental planning and monitoring during construction. She has ten years of experience conducting habitat assessments and eight years working as an environmental monitor through her current role at Lotic, and through past employment with Triton Environmental, AMEC Earth and Environmental, and Nupqu Development Corporation.
Lisa’s environmental monitoring experience includes developing environmental management plans (e.g., sediment and erosion control planning) and monitoring construction (including nesting surveys, water quality monitoring, fish and amphibian salvages). Lisa has conducted fish and fish habitat assessments for the Line Creek and Greenhills aquatic health monitoring programs. Sampling for these projects involved fish habitat surveys, fish population estimates, fish tissue collection, and water quality data collection. She also completed fish and fish habitat surveys to guide design development for the City of Fernie Mountview dike upgrade, City of Cranbrook lagoon berm upgrade, and the Cold Spring Creek debris flow mitigation project. Additionally, Lisa has conducted surface and groundwater monitoring for the City of Cranbrook wastewater treatment system monitoring project. Lisa has successfully completed specialized courses in soil bioengineering, erosion and sediment control and environmental monitoring for construction projects.
