Lisa Lasmanis

Biography

Lisa is an Aquatic Biologist with specialization in aquatic habitat assessments and environmental monitoring for construction projects. She has 8 years of experience conducting fish habitat assessments and 6 years being an environmental monitor through her current and past employment with Lotic Environmental, Triton Environmental, AMEC Earth and Environmental and Nupqu Development Corporation. Lisa’s environmental monitoring experience includes developing Environmental Management Plans (including sediment and erosion control planning) habitat restoration and monitoring construction. Environmental monitoring projects have included:

• City infrastructure upgrade (Habitat Restoration - City of Cranbrook). 
• Marina and sediment basin dredging (RDEK – Fairmont, Indian Beach and Timber Ridge – Windemere).
• Bridge construction (FLNRORD, BC MOTI – Kootenay and Prince George area).
• Forestry road upgrades (Expansion of Bish Creek FSR – KM LNG early works).
• Highway emergency works (Highway 20 reconstruction and restoration – BC MOTI, Bella Coola).
• Hydro dam redevelopment (Aberfeldie upgrade).

During these projects, Lisa successfully coordinated a team of heavy equipment operators; provided recommendations for erosion and sediment control measures on-site; and completed water quality assessments, environmental audits, and fish and amphibian salvages. Lisa has also successfully completed specialized courses in Soil Bioengineering, Erosion and Sediment Control and Environmental Monitoring for Construction Projects.
